Process of creating the promotions:
Let’s see all these aspects in the details that would help the seller to create profitable promotions. In general, the seller must define the promotion with due regard to the items, discount and value of the promotion to the customer and the put the content accordingly into the page. The process of creating promotions in the seller account is divided into following steps:
- Go the ‘Inventory’ section.
- Click on ‘Manage Promotions’ subsection to open ‘Manage promotions’ page.
- On ‘Manage promotions’ page, select ‘Create Promotions’ button.
- On ‘Create promotions’ page, the seller must provide the details as: type of the promotion, start date, end date, tracking ID for the orders.
- Click ‘Continue’ to open ‘Selection of criteria’ page.
- On ‘Selection of criteria’ page, the seller must enter the qualifying criteria in the information boxes for: amount of purchase, list of the items applicable and the description for the buyers to understand the promotion.
- Click on ‘Preview’ at the bottom of the page to view and check the entire promotion.
- Click on ‘Create promotion’ button at the bottom of the page to end the process.
- Click on ‘Create’ button to create the list.
Notes:
Take the caution while giving multiple promotions as to the availability of combinations on the promotions.
On the date set for starting the promotion, it would appear on the ‘Manage promotions’ page. Till then it would be seen on the pending promotions page. To see it, click on the link ‘Pending Promotions’ on the ‘Manage promotions’ page.
Advantages of creating the promotions:
As customers get excited with promotions a lot. The promotion is the technique to make the sale faster. It speeds up the process of conversion and sales. For the promotions to be effective, the seller must ensure 2 aspects very clearly. They are –
- The customer is well-informed about the promotions going on.
- The promotion is very attractive for the customers to make the choice favorably.
Customization of promotions:-
The customization of the promotions makes it really unique. It can be done in multiple ways. They are –
The seller can create the terms and conditions most suitable for the promotions as following:
- Eligibility terms
- Return, refunds and cancellation conditions
- Purchase requirements
- Rules and regulations
- Time condition
- Shipping conditions
- Promotional content
The seller can use the default content or use the original and attractive content for ‘Jewelry Details’ page display.
The seller can create the different check out page with mention of promotion discount calculations and unique content to encourage the repeat sales.
Manage the promotions:-
Management of the promotion comprises of multiple tasks that need to be used effectively to the advantage of the seller. The tasks are as follows.
- View the promotions – View the running promotions
- Search the promotions – Find the specific promotion
- Modify the promotion – Change the status of the promotion
- Edit the promotion details – Change the details of the promotion
- View special promotion reports – Use the report to understand the comparison of promotions and the orders.
Let’s focus on the execution of these tasks.
This is the default page view of ‘Manage promotions’ subsection. Follow the steps in the seller account.
- Go the ‘Inventory’ section.
- Click on ‘Manage Promotions’ subsection to open ‘Manage promotions’ page.
- It shows all the current promotions.
To find the specific promotion in the seller account, follow the steps.
- Go the ‘Inventory’ section.
- Click on ‘Manage Promotions’ subsection to open ‘Manage promotions’ page.
- On the ‘Manage promotions’ page, click on the ‘Search promotion’ button.
- In the drop-down menu, the seller can enter the criterion for the search on any of the following criteria: current status, start date and end date
- The ‘Manage promotions’ page reopens with the promotions as per the criterion given.
To change the status of the promotion in the seller account, follow the steps.
- Go the ‘Inventory’ section.
- Click on ‘Manage Promotions’ subsection to open ‘Manage promotions’ page.
- On the ‘Manage promotions’ page, click on the ‘Modify promotion’ button.
- In the drop-down menu, the seller can select any of the following options – Duplicate the promotion, End the promotion right now and Remove the promotion.
- As per the selection of the option, the seller can view the result on the ‘Manage promotions’ page.
- Edit the promotion details :
To change the details of the promotion, follow the steps in the seller account.
- Go the ‘Inventory’ section.
- Click on ‘Manage Promotions’ subsection to open ‘Manage promotions’ page.
- After the seller has located the promotion, that needs to change the details, click on its tracking ID.
- The ‘Edit promotion details’ page opens.
- Click on the information box and write the information in the box.
- Click on the ‘Edit’ button at the end of the page to confirm the changes.
- View special promotion reports :
The Use of the special promotion report helps you check the effectiveness of the promotion. It analyzes following aspects of orders and promotions.
- Compare the average size of orders with and without promotions
- The percentage of customers using the promotions
- Total price of promotions
The special promotion report also show the combination of order report, business summary report, which includes returns and refunds. This report also includes total amount of discounts given in promotions. The comparison of all these details about all the promotions would help you design better promotions.
To view special promotion report, follow the steps:
- Go to ‘Reports’ section
- There is a ‘Special Report’ sub-section.
- In ‘Special Report’ sub-section, there is a button of ‘special promotion report’.
- Click on it.
- The ‘special promotion report’ page appears.
