Prerequisites for uploading the inventory:-

To upload the inventory, the jewelry details and listing information needs to be collected. This is the most important aspect of the business. It provides the information the buyers need to make the decision. The best way to help them is to provide all the details. There are two pages that represent your product.  They are - Listing page and Jewelry Detail page
For ‘Listing’ page:
The listing page shows all the items from different sellers. The keyword search or links take the customers to the listing page. There are several details in all the criteria that need to be specified. The seller would to specify following details:

  • Standard Item Image -150x150 pixels
  • Image with all the required angles.
  • Title of Jewelry – An accurate and perfect description that informs about the color, quality of the precious stone and metal.
  • The seller’s price

For ‘Jewelry Details’ page:
This is the rather detailed description that would help buyer make the best choice. The seller would specify grades or quality standards of these criteria mentioned. It’s essential to understand that ‘Jewelry Details’ page would also need the following details:

  • Price of the jewelry:

This section should inform the buyers about 3 details, which are –

  • Latest retail price in the market
  • Your retail price
  • Percentage of saving available for buyers
  • Description of the jewelry:

This is 2 - 4 line description of the piece of jewelry that would attract the buyers. It’s a write up that highlights the most important points of your item of jewelry, which are the blend of the attractive specifications with the attention grabbing selling points. It should be minimum 50 words to maximum 150 words.

  • Attributes of the jewelry:

The attributes of jewelry are the most important part of the ‘Jewelry Details’ page. The attributes are graded as per following criteria.

  • The precious metal: It’s graded by Karat, Color, Polishing, Clarity, Certification and Total item Weight.
  • The precious stone: it’s graded on the basis of Color, Cut, Clarity, Dimensions, Carat Weight, Shape, Width, Fluorescence, Depth percentage, Symmetry, Measurements and Facets
  • Setings and designs

Note:
The seller must classify each and every item on the inventory in grades of all these attributes. Refer to ‘Attributes Classification Guide’ to understand practices and standards of Mysolitaireconcepts.com.

  • Jewelry’s image:

To create best buying and using experience for the consumers, the images must comply with the following criteria:

The image of jewelry should be sharp and vivid.

  • The use of line drawings, animated images, URLs are not allowed.

Standard Image sizes required for the ‘Jewelry Details’ pages are as follows:

  • Jewelry Details page image: 400 x 400 pixels –front  view of the image
  • Jewelry Details page image: 400 x 400 pixels –side  view of the image
  • Zoom Image- 600X600 pixel

Process of uploading the inventory:-
The process of uploading the inventory is called ‘Inventory Organizer’. It’s divided in 4 stages. It’s simple, fast and convenient. Complete the process as mentioned below. To understand the requirements for uploading the inventory, refer to the followings

  • ‘Inventory Organizer’ template
  • Attributions Classifications Guide.

Stage 1: Download ‘Inventory Organizer’ template
The seller must download Inventory Organizer template for uploading all the jewelry details at once. This Inventory Organizer would contain the instructions, the definitions of the terms, template and an example. To download the Inventory Organizer template, follow the steps.

  • Go to ‘Inventory’ section.
  • Click on ‘Upload’ sub-section.
  • In ‘Upload’ sub-section, there is a link ‘‘Inventory Organizer’ template. Click on it.
  • A status box asks for the confirmation of your selection. Consent to it and the procedure of downloading is initiated.

Stage 2: Upload the Inventory
Get the entire inventory ready in Excel sheet. To upload the ‘Inventory Organizer’ in the seller account, follow the steps.

  • Go to ‘Inventory’ section.
  • Click on ‘Upload’ sub-section.
  • In ‘Upload’ sub-section, there are 3 buttons. Click on the button ‘Upload Inventory’.
  • As you click on ‘Upload Inventory’ button, an information box with ‘Browse’ button appears below the button, on the same page.
  • Select the Excel sheet with the help of ‘Browse’’ button and click again on ‘Upload Inventory’ button.

Stage 3: Upload the Images
To upload all the images, Follow the steps.

  • Go to ‘Inventory’ section.
  • Click on ‘Upload’ sub-section.
  • In ‘Upload’ sub-section, there are 3 buttons. Click on the second button ‘Upload Images’.
  • As you click on ‘Upload Images’ button, ‘Upload Images’ page opens.
  • On ‘Upload Images’ page, upload the images.
  • Once you have uploaded the images, click again on the ‘Upload images’ button at the end of the page.

Note:
Upload images worth __ MB at one time. Please wait till the process of uploading it is over to upload the rest of images.
Stage 4: Consent to publish
The seller has to give the consent to publish it. To consent to publish, follow the steps.

  • Go to ‘Inventory’ section.
  • Click on ‘Upload’ sub-section.
  • In ‘Upload’ sub-section, there are 3 buttons. Click on the second button ‘Consent to publish’.
  • This leads to ‘Consent to publish’ page, where all the items from inventory are visible. Select the items you want to publish. The jewelry would be visible on online marketplace within 24 hours.
  • Click on the button ‘Publish’ at the bottom of the page.

Stage 5: Review
This is important to ensure that your inventory is accurately uploaded and there are no errors. In rare case the seller may find errors after this process, the seller must contact our technical team for assistance here.

  • Visit some of the websites.
  • Browse and find the items uploaded on inventory.
  • Visit the listing page, jewelry details page and profile page.
  • Check all the menus and images.
  • Check order and shipping details and default information about returns, care and warranty information.

Aspects of  managing  the inventory:-
Managing the inventory can be divided in to 5 important aspects; which are –

  • Add new items
  • Edit existing items
  • Remove some items
  • Deactivate some items
  • Download ‘Inventory Reports’

1. Add new items
For ‘Adding new Items’ to the inventory, the seller would repeat the process of uploading the inventory. To see the detailed steps, click here.
2. Edit existing items
To change the existing items from the inventory, the seller must follow the steps.

  • Go to ‘Inventory’ section.
  • Click on ‘Manage Inventory’ sub-section.
  • In ‘Manage Inventory’ sub-section, there are 3 buttons. To change the existing items, click on ‘Edit Items’ Button.
  • This leads to the list of all the items in the inventory. Click on the information box you need to change and put the new information into it.
  • After all the changes are done, click on ‘Update’ button at the end of the page.

3. Remove some items
To remove the existing items from the inventory, the seller must follow the steps.

  • Go to ‘Inventory’ section.
  • Click on ‘Manage Inventory’ sub-section.
  • In ‘Manage Inventory’ sub-section, there are 3 buttons. To change the existing items, click on ‘Delete Items’ Button.
  • This leads to the list of all the items in the inventory. Click on the selection boxes at the left end of all the items to be removed.
  • After all the selections are done, click on ‘Delete’ button at the end of the page.

4. Deactivate some items:
To deactivate some items from the inventory, the seller must follow the steps.

  • Go to ‘Inventory’ section of your seller’s account.
  • Click on ‘Manage Inventory’ subsection.
  • Click on ‘Status of Inventory’ button.
  • To change the ‘Status of Inventory’ details, select the items from Inventory list mentioned below. Then click on ‘Deactivate’ button at the end of the page.

5. Download ‘Inventory Reports’
To check and download ‘Inventory Reports’, the seller must follow the steps.

  • Go to the ‘Reports’ section.
  • Click on ‘Inventory Report’ subsection.
  • In the ‘Inventory Report’ sub-section, the default view is ‘Inventory Report’.
  • To download is in text file, click on the ‘Download Inventory Report’ button at the bottom of the page.
  • A status box asks for the confirmation of your selection. Consent to it and the procedure of downloading is initiated.

This ‘inventory Report’ is used for removing the non-selling items, manage multiple selling channels smoothly and update the inventory quantities in time.
